Peter was very environmentally conscious. Just a few weeks after he moved next door to me, he bought a manual push lawn mower. That's right, a lawn mower without a motor, just a rotating blade. You push the thing and it takes 3 times as long to cut the grass. I have no idea where he found that thing. I had never seen one in the US before, and I have never seen one since. But that was Peter, true to his convictions. I will add that, always a great neighbor, he often cut my lawn when he was done with his.
